the Mutt Hutt Policies
Daycare and Boarding
Dogs can be dropped off for daycare between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.  We recommend daycare dogs arriving no later than 10 a.m. so they have a chance to play and burn off some energy before nap time.

The Mutt Hutt will be closed during the hours of 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. for nap time.  Please do not drop off or pick up your dog during these hours.

The client understands that all pets must be treated with a flea, tick and heartworm preventative. If fleas are found on pet, a flea bath will be given at owner’s expense.

Pets over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered.

Client is solely responsible for any harm caused by their pet to any employees, other pets/owners, or property. Client agrees to reimburse The Mutt Hutt for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care and lost wages) associated with exposure to pet(s).

Client understands that in a playgroup setting, accidents do happen. Client understands The Mutt Hutt will not be responsible for scrapes, scratches, bites, transmission of diseases, etc. as these things are common amongst play groups.

All dogs must be accompanied by a leash or they will not be admitted. All dogs will be walked using a choker chain or a slip lead when taken outside. If you do not want your dog to be walked on a choker, please let a staff member know and your dog will not be taken outside for walks.

The Mutt Hutt reserves the right to take pet(s) to vet if necessary. Client is responsible for all charges including, but not limited to, vet fees and transportation fees.

Client understands that their dog must be picked up on their scheduled pick up date by closing time or they will be charged for an additional night of boarding.

Boarding includes a 24 hour period. Client understands if their dog is not picked up within 2 hours of the 24 hour period, a $15.00 flat fee will be added for a ½ day of daycare. (2 dogs- $25.00, 3 dogs, $30.00)

Food Policy
Daycare Guests: We do not provide food for our daycare guests. If you would like your dog to eat while they attend daycare, please bring your own food and instructions on when to feed.

Boarding Guests: We do offer food for our boarding guests at a $5.00 per night fee however most dog owners will want to provide their own food if their pet eats a specific type of food. You may bring items that need to be refrigerated or microwaved. We will follow your dog's feeding schedule as closely as possible. We ask that you package all food in individual zip lock plastic bags proportioned for each meal and marked with your dog's name.

No Call/No Show Policy
Cancellations must be done at least 24 hours prior for daycare reservations and 48 hours prior for boarding reservations and 72 hours for holidays (if not, you will lose your deposit.)

The following fees will apply for No Call/No Show:
• Daycare: $25.00 or the subtraction of a day from the dog's current package

• Boarding: Loss of $50.00 Deposit
Toys/Beds
We do not use small toys at the Mutt Hutt to avoid dogs fighting or becoming overly protective of a toy.  The Mutt Hutt also provides bedding and blankets for our overnight guests but we encourage you to bring a dog's favorite blanket simply to make them feel more at home during their stay.  If your dog sleeps with a toy or stuff animals these will be provided at bed time but will be away in your dog's cubby during the day.
Health and Vaccinations
All dogs are required to be in good health.  You will be asked to sign a contract and medical waver that certifies your pet is healthy and has not been sick or exposed to any known diseases or disorders in the last 30 days.

All dogs must have a clean bill of health from their veterinarian and a current vaccination record.  We will need a copy of this before your dog can attend daycare or stay overnight.  Your vet can email or fax copies of your dogs records.

All dogs that attend daycare or stay overnight must be on a flea/tick preventative and will be checked for fleas each time they enter the facility.  If fleas are found on your dog once they are already there, you will be contacted to pick up your dog as soon as possible.
